Abstract

The trend over the last few years has been towards an integrated approach to assessment. This session will explore the reasons why institutions prefer this approach and whether they achieve what they aim at. The session will also focus on the limits and possibilities of a theme-based approach and whether it should be used to assess the language performance of the learners in writing.
