ArticlePublication Metadata only Search for a pseudoscalar boson decaying into a Z boson and the 125 GeV Higgs boson in l(+)l(-)b(b)over-bar source final states(Elsevier, 2015-09-02) Chatrchyan, S.; Işıldak, Bora; The CMS Collaboration; Natural and Mathematical Sciences; IŞILDAK, BoraResults are reported on a search for decays of a pseudoscalar A boson into a Z boson and a light scalar h boson, where the Z boson decays into a pair of oppositely-charged electrons or muons, and the h boson decays into View the MathML source. The search is based on data from proton–proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy View the MathML source collected with the CMS detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb−1. The h boson is assumed to be the standard model-like Higgs boson with a mass of 125 GeV. With no evidence for signal, upper limits are obtained on the product of the production cross section and the branching fraction of the A boson in the Zh channel. Results are also interpreted in the context of two Higgs doublet models.ArticlePublication Metadata only Search for diphoton resonances in the mass range from 150 to 850 GeV in pp collisions at √s = 8 TeV(Elsevier, 2015-11-12) Khachatryan, V.; Işıldak, Bora; The CMS Collaboration; Natural and Mathematical Sciences; IŞILDAK, BoraResults are presented of a search for heavy particles decaying into two photons. The analysis is based on a View the MathML source sample of proton–proton collisions at View the MathML source collected with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC. The diphoton mass spectrum from 150 to 850View the MathML source is used to search for an excess of events over the background. The search is extended to new resonances with natural widths of up to 10% of the mass value. No evidence for new particle production is observed and limits at 95% confidence level on the production cross section times branching fraction to diphotons are determined. These limits are interpreted in terms of two-Higgs-doublet model parameters.ArticlePublication Metadata only Search for neutral resonances decaying into a Z boson and a pair of b jets or τ leptons(Elsevier, 2016-08-10) Khachatryan, V.; Işıldak, Bora; The CMS Collaboration; Natural and Mathematical Sciences; IŞILDAK, BoraA search is performed for a new resonance decaying into a lighter resonance and a Z boson. Two channels are studied, targeting the decay of the lighter resonance into either a pair of oppositely charged τ leptons or a View the MathML source pair. The Z boson is identified via its decays to electrons or muons. The search exploits data collected by the CMS experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.8 fb−1. No significant deviations are observed from the standard model expectation and limits are set on production cross sections and parameters of two-Higgs-doublet models.ArticlePublication Open Access Search for new particles in an extended Higgs sector with four b quarks in the final state at √s = 13 TeV(Elsevier, 2022-12-10) Tumasyan, A.; Işıldak, Bora; The CMS Collaboration; Natural and Mathematical Sciences; IŞILDAK, BoraA search for a massive resonance X decaying to a pair of spin-0 bosons ϕ that themselves decay to pairs of bottom quarks, is presented. The analysis is restricted to the mass ranges mϕ from 25 to 100 GeV and mX from 1 to 3 TeV. For these mass ranges, the decay products of each ϕ boson are expected to merge into a single large-radius jet. Jet substructure and flavor identification techniques are used to identify these jets. The search is based on CERN LHC proton-proton collision data at s=13TeV, collected with the CMS detector in 2016–2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138fb−1. Model-specific limits, where the two new particles arise from an extended Higgs sector, are set on the product of the production cross section and branching fraction for X→ϕϕ→(bb‾)(bb‾) as a function of the resonances' masses, where both the X→ϕϕ and ϕ→bb‾ branching fractions are assumed to be 100%. These limits are the first of their kind on this process, ranging between 30 and 1 fb at 95% confidence level for the considered mass ranges.
