dc.description.abstract | The current study investigates the effect of severe plastic deformation (SPD) on the mechanical behavior of a commercial aluminum alloy (Al7075). In-process cooled friction stir processing (FSP) was used to enhance the mechanical properties of annealed Al7075. Substantial enhancements in the microhardness, strength, and strain at failure were achieved through the application of this SPD technique without further thermal treatments. | en_US |
