Abstract
Number of electric vehicle charging stations have been increasing for the last decade. They will significantly affect the power distribution grid in terms of increased load and uncertainty. This paper analyzes the impact of charging stations on the power distribution grid by a stochastic simulation, which is based on a statistical and probabilistic framework. Big E-Mobility data are created by the simulation, which uses various randomized parameters such as the number of arrivals to the parking lot per day, the number of vehicles charged, how many vehicles left due to lack of charging station, the total energy consumed per vehicle. A case study for a shopping mall is presented with its electrical and financial results.
