Under the assumptions of sparse and frequency-selective Rician fading channel and non-white correlated Gaussian ambient noise, we derive an expression for underwater channel capacity which we later use to optimize the carrier frequency and input signaling. We further demonstrate the effect of several system and environmental parameters such as distance, temperature, depth, etc. on the capacity.enginfo:eu-repo/semantics/restrictedAccessInformation theoretic analysis and optimization of underwater acoustic communication systemsConference paper57858300034313560008310.1109/EUROCON.2013.6625039Gaussian noiseRician channelsAcoustic wave interferenceChannel capacityIntersymbol interferenceOptimisationUnderwater acoustic communication2-s2.0-84888603254
