Our results demonstrate that by increasing the number of transmit and/or receive apertures, the degrading effect of the inner scale size is effectively reduced by extracting the spatial diversity gain of the MIMO scheme. We further provide Monte Carlo simulation results to confirm the validity of the derived expression.enginfo:eu-repo/semantics/restrictedAccessOutage performance of MIMO free-space optical systems in gamma-gamma fading channelsConference paper27528000036029300004110.1109/NOC-OCI.2013.6582899Free-space optical communicationAtmospheric turbulence channelEqual gain combiningGamma-gamma fadingMultiple-input multiple-output transmission2-s2.0-84883828120
