Under the assumption of log-normal distributed atmospheric turbulence, we first derive a closed-form outage probability expression, and then demonstrate the achievable diversity order. We further provide Monte Carlo simulation results to confirm the validity of the derived outage probability expression and present the corresponding diversity gains.enginfo:eu-repo/semantics/restrictedAccessPerformance analysis of MIMO free-space optical communication systems with selection combiningConference paper1400032500530020710.1109/SIU.2013.6531367Free-space optical communicationMultiple-input multiple-output transmissionDiversity orderSelection combiningLog-normal fading2-s2.0-84880905943
