In this work a patch antenna having defected ground plane is designed and simulated. Design includes two dielectric layers and some modifications at the top layer such as having a slit and a slot. Simulation results are included and discussed. Results showed that electric field total gain is 6.5 dB while input match is -18.34 at 4.72 GHz.
