Conference paperPublication Metadata only Design and simulation of antenna with defected ground plane(IEEE, 2016) Gurelli, Umur Can; Dindar, Sinan; Balci, Merve; Rizeli, Dilara; İmeci, T.; Durak, T.; Gurelli, Umur Can; Dindar, Sinan; Balci, Merve; Rizeli, DilaraIn this work a patch antenna having defected ground plane is designed and simulated. Design includes two dielectric layers and some modifications at the top layer such as having a slit and a slot. Simulation results are included and discussed. Results showed that electric field total gain is 6.5 dB while input match is -18.34 at 4.72 GHz.Conference paperPublication Metadata only Dual resonance proximity coupled patch antenna(IEEE, 2018-05-24) Kılıç, B.; İmeci, T.; Güngör, O. S.; İmeci, M.; Majidi, Negar; Sobhani, M. R.; Majidi, NegarIn this paper there are four different shape of proximity patch antennas (straight, trimmed, trapezoid and ribbon). The minimum input match achieved with the straight proximity patch antenna as -39.68 dB. The maximum gain is achieved with the ribbon proximity patch antenna as 12.1 dB. Simulation and measurement results are presented. There is a perfect match with simulated and measured gain. The antenna is first demonstrated example of working with four different geometries, having satisfactory gain and input match.Conference paperPublication Metadata only E shaped antenna surrounded with u shape(IEEE, 2017) Delikanlı, Demet; Keskiner, Selim; İmeci, T.; Delikanlı, Demet; Keskiner, SelimIn this work we designed, simulated, fabricated and measured E-shape microstrip patch antenna. In the process of design, we surrounded E-shape patch antenna with “U” figure. As a result of this work, resonance frequency is 4.27 GHz and S11 is -9.69 dB and gain is 7.22 dB. Parametric study on different gap lengths between E and U shaped metals was studied. This antenna design is an improvement from last years research published in Aces conference 2016.Conference paperPublication Metadata only Microstrip patch antenna design with unified cornered rectangles(IEEE, 2016) Devli, Ata; Celik, Mert; Demir, Berkay; İmeci, T.; Saral, A.; Devli, Ata; Celik, Mert; Demir, BerkayIn this design, high-gain, directional microstrip patch antenna works at 11.1 GHz, which is in Ku-Band satellite receive frequency band. Our design has 3 nested rectangular patches which are cornered. As a result, the input match of -17.48 dB at 11.1 GHz resonance frequency has been observed. The maximum achieved gain was 5.48 dBi.Conference paperPublication Metadata only Patch antenna with slits at 8 GHz(IEEE, 2016) Zamani, Arman; Mudun, Batuhan; Kara, Emrecan; Dilaver, Gürsu; İmeci, T.; Zamani, Arman; Mudun, Batuhan; Kara, Emrecan; Dilaver, GürsuIn this paper, a rectangular shaped patch antenna with two equal rectangular shaped slits on each side and one at the top has been demonstrated. By modifying the size and the shape of the initial antenna, a radiation efficient and performance enhanced antenna has been designed. The proposed antenna resonances at 8.0 GHz with the peak gain of 6.58 dB, allowing the antenna to be used in wireless communication applications.
